La Esencia

With its classic interior and modern approach, this bar combines what is unique about Havana.  It is not a place you will stumble accross (few worthwhile places in Havana are).  You will find it tucked away in a residential street in Vedado in a  fantastic classic mansion.

The interior is even better, the bartenders are friendly and know how to mix a good cocktail. Music is varied. Usually a DJ an what genre depends on the crowd and the DJ’s mood. Sometimes there is also live music.  The place always surprises. Some nights the ambience relaxed, but on most nights it heats up and gets energetic later on.  A fairly young crowd on most nights and every Friday there is Happy Hour. (5-8pm)
